Pressure Reducing Valves in Steam Heating Systems

 

In this excerpt from his Dead Men’s Steam School seminar, Dan Holohan talks about working on steam heating systems that involve high pressure, such as district heating systems (like in New York City, Philadelphia, and Denver). A pressure reducing valve (PRV) decreases the steam pressure for safety when the steam enters a building.
