Challenge

Steam boiler failed due to too much feed water. Existing boiler is grossly oversized.

Approach

Find the cause of the overfeeding of fresh water to steam boiler. Properly measure the radiation of home.

Solution

Installed a properly sized steam boiler with a full sized drop header. Replaced leaking wet return, which caused the overfeeding of fresh water. Installed master venting system, steam vaporstat and programmable digital water feeder. Customer had a 15% drop in fuel bills and was extremely happy.
