Challenge

Provide our customer with exceptional comfort, utilizing a variety of modern heating products, some older and more familiar products, and an existing boiler.

Approach

This ten-year-old model home was built with every shortcut in the book. Over-extended piping runs, unbalanced baseboard zones and other problems resulted in recurring breakdowns and high fuel bills for years.

Solution

During some other minor renovations, we were able to expose the trouble spots and get creative with the system. Some basic piping changes allowed us to split the large heating zones into several smaller ones. These small changes allowed the much-needed ability to control and balance the living space. In addition, we added radiant floor heating in several areas where high ceilings and multiple windows were present. We also added radiant panel radiators to maintain the modern look of the newly-renovated rooms. Our customer was delighted with the results.
