Caleffi North America, Inc. is proud to introduce the 145 Series FLOWMATIC pressure independent control valve (PICV). Available as a standalone valve or as the 149 Series FLOWMATIC Express, pre-assembled terminal unit coil kit. These valves combine an automatic differential pressure regulator and a control valve with an optional actuator. With a control signal input, the FLOWMATIC automatically adjusts the flow rate and keeps it constant under changing circuit differential pressure conditions.
The FLOWMATIC PICV automatically adjusts flow rate and keeps it constant under changing circuit differential pressure conditions where it is installed. It is designed for hydronic systems and is supplied complete with pressure test ports for measuring operating conditions. The valve is available in ½”, ¾” and 1” valve body sizes with sweat, press and FNPT union tailpieces.
The compact, pre-assembled FLOWMATIC Express connects VAV reheat boxes, fan-coils, chilled beams or ceiling-mounted terminal units with the main hydronic distribution system. It provides flow control, balancing, bypass, filtering and isolation functions for maintenance of the terminal unit and flushing of the system. Optional on/off or modulating actuators add automatic control for connection to a local controller or BAS.
See more about how PICVs fit into the evolution of hydronic balancing in the latest Coffee with CaleffiTM webinar, available on YouTube.
